my major is mechanical engineering... & i decided to take
-math 1a (i've actually gone all the way up to linear alg. i got a 2 on the AB exam but got a 3 on the BC exam so hopefully this shouldnt be too challenging)
-chem 1a (took regular chemistry in high school)
-E10
-Theater, Dance and Performing 52ac (heard this was a really easy class)
-Mech E 24 seminar

so that's 15 units

i took psych 101 at a CC which converts into psych 1. that fulfills one of my humanities and social studies requirements, right?

also, which ones should i sign up for at calso?

looks like a good first semester. i would be cautious about making the statement that your background of a 2 and 3 in AB and BC calculus means math1a won't be too challenging, though. and yes, psych 101 will cover psych 1 as long as assist confirms it and you send in your transcripts to berkeley to confirm it as well. and yes, it does count for one of the six. you can use it for series (if you take an UD psych class) or just as one of the normal lower div humanities.
for calso, sign up for math, chem, and your me24 seminar.

yea, i totally don't wanna make that assumption either. buuuut i figured going into 1b or going straight into 53 would be wayyy more challenging, so in comparison, math 1a shouldn't be so bad. i'm sure it will still be hard though.

i already sent in my CC official transcript, however i don't think they got it yet & i dont know if they will have gotten it by my calso date (20-21). do i need to bring one, & if so, is an unofficial one fine?

With a 2 and a 3, I think 1A is a good choice. I think you'll actually need to study hard 1A to earn a good grade. Chem 1A will be challenging too, since you didn't take AP Chem. I would make my #1 priority getting involved in good study groups, taking advantage of the other tutoring opportunities, etc. At least make sure how to access these things if it becomes necessary. Don't let yourself get far behind, midterm is tomorrow, and nowhere to go for help.

make good use of the SLC study groups - they are very helpful for math and basic sciences. i cannot stress this enough - if you find yourself struggling in these classes after the first midterm, GET HELP - it's really helpful (duh!).

anyways, no you don't need to bring anything to prove your psych 101 credit from the CC to calso. this is because it will not make any difference upon the classes you are signing up for. when the administration recieves your CC transcript, your counselor will update it on your degree check under the 6 humanities. this process takes a very very long time - maybe about half a semester, so be patient. the delay will not cause any type of inability on your part in registering for classes.

what does slc stand for?
