How does NC State CSC compare to technical universities like RIT and other large universities like ASU?

Hi all, I have been admitted to NC State for the CSC major and wanted to ask what you all think are the program’s strengths. Would love to hear from the current CSC students and other NC State students. I am also interested in Gaming and all 3 schools have Game Design & Development courses.

Costwise, NC State is 15K a year, RIT is 25K a year, and ASU is 30K a year. So would love to see what you all think of the comparison to these schools. Some other options are Pitt and SUNY Buffalo, which are both around 25K a year.

Are you admitted to the major, or do you need to go through secondary admission later based on college grades?

Need to go through the CODA process since they don’t admit directly to the major. There is a risk involved but I’ve heard its not that bad for Computer Science.

You can use the CODA calculator linked above to get an idea of what college GPA would give a good chance of admission to the CS major or other engineering majors at NCSU.
