My grades are ok...but I'm really angry about the B in math. Math always used to to my best subject, but I didn't do as well as I would've liked to. Am I on the right track to getting in to Stanford? It's m dream school! I know my GPA is kind of low right now, but it will most likely go up next year. Thanks, and if you need to know anything else, just ask!

There’s no formula

Be what Stanford likes. Uh, you have to learn what they like, be the sort of person who can dig for that. Sorry, but so many kids ask how to get into S or H. That’s passive. Why not try to learn what Stanford as to say? Not a bunch of forum strangers, so many hs kids who will repeat myths.

Stanford claims that they don’t look at freshman grades…

thanks b

Just be yourself and you’ll have the best shot. Find what you’re passionate about and pursue it.

All the A+'s in the world won’t guarantee a place at stanford. As others said, try your best and hope for the best.

@acort0780. As @lookingforward has pointed out…look carefully at the thread titles on this Stanford forum and you will see where we have discussed some of the important points you may be looking for…

…also review last weekend’s commencement speech given by Bill and Melinda Gates (their daughter is a student) and Steve Jobs (his son just graduated) commencement speech he gave in 2005…look for strong HINTS as to what kind of students they attract and graduates they want to produce…

…Hope this helps
