I want to apply to UC Berkeley, and UCLA if I just need to pay the extra $75.

In addition to the UC App, do I also need to write supplements for both schools? or does the app cover everything and I could duplicate the app for both schools (which would be great)?

Thanks, the website is really confusing so I just decided to ask if anyone has experience with this process.

I believe the entire UC system has one application, so you can just choose which campuses you want to send your supplement too. Applying to UCLA would just mean that you have to pay the extra app fee.

So basically I can just knock out Berkeley and UCLA with one app? There are no specific guidelines or differences for either school?

@jchen97 Exactly. Some things like the SAT II might be different depending on the school/major, where they’re “recommended”, but you just need to fill out that one app once for all the UC’s (afaik).

The application for all the UCs is the same. At the end of the app you just tick off which UCs you want to apply to and it bills you accordingly.

The application also lets select a different Majors for each UC campus along with an alternate major (if you prefer). Some UC’s will accept you with the alternate major if they have no room in your first choice and if no alternate major is selected, they may accept you as undecided.
