i guessing the gpa is different, cuz i don't see how so many ppl can get above a 4.0 (whish seems like everyone who got into ucla)
at my school, getting a 4.2 gpa means that ur average for all four yrs is above 100, like a 102, 103, etc.

is 4.0 in CA a 90 avg?

in CA, an A is a 4.0, B is a 3.0 etc....GPA is not done by percentages, but by your letter grade in the class

However, if you take AP classes and get an A in them, you get a 5.0 instead of a 4.0, therefore bringing your GPA over 4.0

wow, thanks that makes me feel a lot better.

see, no need to freak out :)
