I've been admitted into UC Irvine (with Honors) as a Business Information Management major. It's selective; only 40 people get in. It's basically 50% computer classes and 50% business classes (mainly consisting of management w/technology). Does this sound like a good business major to go into? Or should I opt for a general Business Administration degree and possibly concentrate in Information Technology?

It sounds like an honors MIS program, which is a legitimate business major at the top programs. It’s a bit more technical than a typical business major for the sake of the computer science component, which means employers will have more demand for your skills. You’re probably much better off in that than UCI’s BBA program.
