How does this schedule sound?

I'm going to texas A&M this fall. i originally signed up for engineering, but now want to change to business. Business is full, so im going to do general studies but take electives at the business college.

My orientation isnt till Monday, but I made a mock schedule on pick-a-prof-.com Tell me how you think it sounds.

Acct 229-T/TH, 935 a.m.-10:50 a.m.
Econ 202-T/TH, 3:55 p.m.-5;10 p.m.
ENGL 212-M/W-4:10 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Hist 101-M/W/F-1:50p.m.-2:40 p.m.
Math 141-M/W/F-10:20 a.m.-11:10 a.m.

Im doing Sophomore English because my AP credits get me out of Fresh Engish. Math 141 is business math. So thats 3 general studies courses, all that are good toward a business degree, and 2 courses specific to the business field. I want to take all my science/foreign language courses at junior college during the summer since those are my weakest subjects.

I know this schedule seems like the times are too far spread out, but theres not that much choice left for freshmen in the first place, and of whats left, I made sure to get on pickaprof.com and pick all the professors who's grade distributions were the most favorable.

Does my schedule seem good, or should I rethink it?

Also: Pick-a-prof isnt letiing me choose any courses already full, is it?

you schedule looks good. might as well get the basic econ and accounting classes out of the way. just a typical freshman schedule.

Texas AM?!?! I feel sorry for u.

college station does suck but the a&m alumni arent something to scoff at.

After being from College Station and working on campus this summer, I feel sorry for you too haha

Sucks that you don't have much choice as a freshman. A lot of my friends complain, too. It doesn't seem like there is much rethinking to do, so I guess go with it.

Can you possibly group classes so you don't have so many break in between? Like on MWF you have a big break between 11 and 2 and then on T/R you have a big break between 11 and 4. Some people like big breaks like that... I don't. I like to leave my dorm in the morning, have all my classes, and come back... no long breaks. I normally have my classes from 9-12 or 2 and then eat lunch and go back to my dorm.

... just my personal preference.

Beats my schedule. I have labs at night and two back-to-back classes on opposite sides of grounds.

I have to walk nearly .75 miles to each of my first-of-the-day classes, but then there is little walking. I have a monster break on Monday, class from 1100-1150, then nothing until 400-450. No break on Tuesdays, 2 breaks on Wednesday (one hour and 2 hour) and then one one hour break on Thursday. I think I am going to enjoy the breaks because I have issues with my back and I need to be able to relax/lay down/stretch in between classes or I will die.

College Station will be fine. It may not be the greatest city on earth, but it has thousands of college kids who like to party, play cards, etc. No matter how great the surrounding city is, you spend most your time on campus anyway, and Ive heard A&M students know hwo to have a good time.
