When UConn calculates HS GPA, do they use ALL of your classes or just the “core” classes, like math, social studies, foreign language, English, and science? Also, what numerical scale do they use? Thanks! Matt
I know they use 4.0, but what letter grade number (like 96 or 82 or 70) is equivalent to what number on a GPA scale (3.3,4.0,2.1) etc.
They use ALL of your classes and the GPA is out of 4.0. UConn most likely understands the grading scale that your school uses.
@invader71 thanks so much! I heard some unis or colleges only use core classes, so thanks for clearing that! And if my school uses a weighted GPA of Academic by and Honors by 1.1 and AP or ECE Classes by 1.2, they’ll use that?
If your high school is located in Connecticut they know how its grading system works.
If I took high school classes in middle school, will they count that? (I moved after middle school and my high school didn’t count those classes into my GPA however they are legit honors classes… Hoping they’ll count them into my GPA)
