<p>I applied to four UC's and gotten accepted to two so far (San Diego & Irvine, still have to hear from Berkeley & LA). As far as I know, the top-tier UC's are Berkeley, LA and San Diego while the middle-tier UC's are Davis, Irvine and Santa Barbara. I wanted to know how my chances for USC are looking so far if I was admitted into San Diego and Irvine. I applied for Neuroscience (or if USC doesn't offer that major, then something among those lines), if that helps anyone. Also, I did apply by the November deadline but unfortunately, I didn't make it past the merit scholarship round. :(</p>
<p>San Diego, Irvine, Davis, and Santa Barbara are less selective than USC/relatively easier to get into. UCLA is about the same for in-state, yet more selective for out-of-state. Berkeley’s tougher than all. However, it doesn’t mean that you won’t be accepted. There are stories of people getting into Harvard while getting rejected from their state school. It’s all about the schools wanting certain qualities/trying to create a balanced class. You might get into a few, you might get into all of them. Also, only 1000 of the 8000-9000 admits are scholarships finalists, sooo relax! You still have a shot. Good luck! :)</p>
