Ucsd or uci?

I applied to a whole bunch of top schools but yet i have gotten admitted to UCSD and UCI. UCB /UCLA/USC were my top choices but i got denied to UCLA so i don't think there's any chance for admission to the others. I am confused between UCSD and UCI. UCI hasn't sent me a financial aid package. The financial aid UCSD sent states that i would have to pay $8900. I'm having a hard time choosing. I got admitted to sixth college for human biology at UCSD. and biology @ UCI. I want to attend a super prestigious post grad school and for that i need a good start at undergrad. Thanks for helping. (too depressed got denied to UCLA today!) :(

UC San Diego is pretty good, and typically ranked third among the UCs, behind Berkeley and LA. The weather is great too, and I believe that it’s rather strong in sciences.

I’m not the most informed, but in my opinion, you should pick UCSD.

I’m in the exact same situation! :frowning: Got waitlisted at UCLA, rejected at USC, so probably not going to be accepted to UCB. I’m also looking towards pre-med

As far as I know, UCSD is more research-based and is ranked higher than UCI in many respects. The thing about UCSD is that it’s more competitive, so your GPA may be a little lower and the classes will be more competitive than those at UCI. I visited both campuses and I REALLY like UCSD moreeee! Ultimately, it’s up to you. Definitely visit both schools if you haven’t already

i got rejected at USC too. :frowning: But if u got waitlisted at UCLA then u do have some chances to get into UCB because i know someone who didn’t get into UCLA but got into UCB. good luck.

Both schools are great for Bio. Even though UCSD is ranked slightly higher I don’t feel there is a huge gap. I say go with the school that is less $ and more comfy feel, follow your gut.
