How Early Can I Begin Applying for Scholarships for Studying Abroad?

<p>Hey everyone! I am planning on studying abroad in Spring 2015 to France and I was wondering if anyone knew how early i can apply for scholarships for studying abroad. The reason i am asking is because if I dont get enough scholarship, I will not be able to travel so i need to start as early as I can. </p>

<p>If I begin to apply now and I receive a scholarship within the next 6 months, will I be able to accept it and save it for Spring 2015? or is that now allowed? If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know! Studying abroad in France would be a dream come true for me, so I need as much help as I can get. I need to ensure I have enough money to go BEFORE I commit to going.</p>

<p>P.S. - If anyone knows any good scholarships to apply to, I would appreciate you posting those too :) </p>

<p>I am studying abroad in France currently. (2013-2014 school year). All of my scholarships were due in the spring of 2013. I couldn’t do any earlier than that.</p>

<p>Check out the Gilman. (I got $5000.) Also check with your school’s French Department and Study Abroad Departments. That’s where I got my other study abroad scholarships.</p>

<p>All in all, I got over $10,000 for study abroad alone. That was added onto all of my other financial aid and made it possible for me to study here.</p>
