since i'm not sure whether or not i want to be an engineer, i was wondering if it would be hard to transfer into sas

No, just maintain a 3.0+ GPA.

keep a 3.0 gpa and have a good reason (as in, not just "i don't like it anymore" - but more like "i like econ now")

the 3.0+ GPA is keeping some of my friends in SEAS ;)

ack, is seas really that hard?
also, can you take classes in sas, like lots of humanities and such?

What major are you entering in and what AP credits are you coming in with? If you pass out of physics, got a 5 on BC, and place out of first semester chemistry, you have lots of room to take humanities classes. Several of my friends took Chem 102 and Math 240 their second semester as their only engineering classes, giving them 3 electives in humanities.

I've been told the average SEAS freshman GPA is 2.5...I don't doubt it.

It's pretty darn low

they used to say the average seas gpa overall was 2.8
