<p>My son is finalizing his decision. One of the questions we have is how easy is it to change majors? We have heard stories (more at UT) about once you start in Mechanical Engineering even changing to a different engineering discipline can be hard - there has to a spot. Can anyone comment on how easy it is to move within Engineering OR to move from Engineering to Business?</p>
<p>all freshman engineering curriculums are almost identical, it only starts getting hard to change once your in your 2nd and 3rd year due to you having to take different classes (electrical vs mechanical vs chemisty) depending on your major</p>
