obviously it doesn't play a factor if the rest of your app is garbage. I was wondering if someone who was half Asian Indian (dad immigrated by himself when he was 18, when India and Pakistan were still India) as well as part native American(1/8th) could play a positive role in your admissions process. </p>

<p>The questions on many college apps, including the common app, are about self-identification. Do you self-identify as such? And if someone were to ask, how would you explain it? For Native Americans sometimes the additional question comes up about tribal enrollment. On the common app they ask for a tribal identification number.</p>
