How Exactly Do The UC's Calculate GPA?

I’m worried that I’m doing it wrong because my GPA is far too generous when I use one supposed UC GPA method (adding up the 4s for As etc and dividing by the number of classes…). Yeah, does anyone know for sure this formula?
