Well, I'm just curious how CCer's rank in terms of family income. Not comparing or anything.

My parents make between $110,000-$130,000 a year. I guess it's not too bad for a family of 5 people total, with two kids already in college.

My income is pretty low. No specific numbers.

My parents make it in the six-digits. So we can still go on without major cuts in our food, electricity, water, and gas consumption. I can also afford more books for SAT Prep and things of that nature, and I can also have a car (a piece of junk, but it gets me to places).

60k for 4 people all of our medical expenses makes it tough though. I still find it funny that both of my parents have doctorates, and are disabled... leading us to only making what one parents should AT LEAST be bringing in.

My mother raised me by herself. She makes six figures a year, pays for my college education, purchased a house on country club property and has two luxury cars.

I figure that's pretty good for one person to do entirely (my father contributed to nothing and her family has never helped her) on her own.

My parents make a good six digits. You wouldn't know it by looking at me or any of our possessions though. They're not big spenders.

Don't know specific numbers, but if my aunt didn't support me or my sis from time to time, things would be really hard.
Anyhow, although I can't afford as much as other people can, I don't think I can complain..

both of my parents make in the six digits individually. So, I was pretty financially stable. But now that my parents are divorcing, I have a feeling I'm going to be much less so.

$65,000-$70,000 combined.

My parents don't make much...they say they're poor but they just bought a a big tv...

liers.

borderline working class/lower middle class. single mom raising 4 of us, yeah its pretty tough.

Got my money in the bank, shot em with your crank?

Upper middle class.

I'm rich ****, rick james.

over a million a year but its bad to act rich and snobby, we keep modest, don't spend like crazy..i have a used 15k car not a new mercedes or bmw

upper middle class

I qualify for free lunch. It's that bad.

Middle -middle class; under $60,000
(Mom's a stay-at-home mom and dad is deceased)

Hopefully, I'll get a free ride at the Ivy's and Stanford.

but my parents like never spend their money, wonder where it goes...lol

I'm not sure what the deal is with college, but when I was applying to boarding schools it said in the financial aid forms that unless you have siblings that are younger than 13 that both parents are expected to work in order to qualify for aid

you should probably check that out
