Does anyone know how generous USC is with financial aid for transfer/regular students? I read on college ******* that +-60% of students receive institution grant from USC. Any admitted student who got financial aid from USC could give me their 2cents? USC is my dream school but that tuition seems pretty overwhelming to be honest. Would really appreciate it!!

Financial aid depends greatly on your family’s financial situation. There are scholarships for academics, but those are mostly given out at the department level. From the main school, they will calculate your EFC and give you grants, loans, work study, etc. By nature this question is different for everyone, but USC is well-known for giving out a lot of money in financial aid.

It definitely depends on your family income. Because my parents make very little (both make slightly above minimum wage) I receive a lot in university grants. I’m a transfer student and was awarded $35,000 in university grants and $13,000 in federal loans. I have some friends whose families are a little better off and they didn’t get any grants and very little in federal loans.

Everyone gets the exact same dollar amount in federal loans regardless of family financial situation.
