How Good Are My ECs?

I’m currently a Junior and I’m wondering now if the ECs that I’ve been doing are good enough to get me into top tier UC or private school like MIT or Stanford. I’ve listed them below:

-4 yr member of the Computer Science Club (we teach kids how to code using Python every week)
-co-president of the Computer Science Club for 2 yrs
-4 yr member of Student Government
-Spirit Commissioner for 2 yrs (Basically I’m in charge of figuring out how involved the student body is during Spirit weeks and events of the like as well as maintaining the student store)
-4 yr member of NHS
-President of NHS for 1 yr
-2 yr member of Key Club
-I volunteer at my local retirement home every Saturday and have amassed over 100 service hours
-For the same retirement home, a job as a server for about a year
-Student tutor for my school (I spend about 4hrs/wk doing this)

Seems pretty damn good to me.

Ur ECS are pretty mediocre I don’t think they are nearly enough for a top school but they are decent. 100 service hours is a requirement for my county for instance in order to graduate. If your GPA/SAT is decent (3.95+ 1550+) yes otherwise no

Your grades & test scores should be more important.

Also, how can you be a 4 year member of NHS when you’re only a junior? NHS is for HS only.

Actually, here’s one of the requirements from the NHS web site:

“Students in grades 10–12 who meet the requirements for membership outlined by their school’s chapter are eligible to be invited for membership.”

So it’s not even open to ninth graders, therefore you can’t have been in NHS for more than two years.

At our school they let us join freshman year. Maybe that wasn’t following official policy from NHS, but they did it at our school anyway.

Also my school doesn’t have a service hour requirement. What country are you referring to @PepsiMakesItOk

Oh I put in 4 years for NHS and Student govt bc I know I’m going to be in them next year. Sorry I didn’t note that

Honestly I would say no, the people accepted at these schools are usually published writers, researchers, or people with a unique background, also some mysterious factors like a talent they need thrown in there

Your ECs are excellent, but none of them stand out. They will definitely get you a place in the UCs (given that your grades and test scores are good), but you need something more unique.
If you relate your volunteering hours at the retirement home to some kind of message that you learned about life or perhaps you describe a way that you completely changed the retirees’ lives by volunteering there, you have a chance at the Ivies. You would also want to emphasize the fact that you teach kids how to code using Python, since they look for people who make a legitimate impact in their community (simply volunteering does not do this).
