How good is Brown's Undergrad CS program?

I can’t find “official” rankings like US News for undergrad programs, just graduate. I did some googling, and I saw a couple people saying that it was like the best in the country with the likes of Stanford, Berkeley, etc. Are there any rankings out there that I missed? What’s the general consensus if you know?

Just to clarify: CS = Computer Science

One of if not the best. Search around previous posts on the Brown forum, it’s been discussed extensively.

It’s an extremely good program. All my friends who did Brown CS ended up with their choice of career paths - startups, big Silicon Valley firms, grad school, etc.

Thanks, I did some searching on CC, I just didn’t know how reliable they were

We have SO many people going to Microsoft, Google, and Facebook–it’s actually ridiculous how many people I know who are going to those places

My D is at Brown studying CS and has her pick of internships for this summer. Obviously she has nothing to compare it to, but her classmates also seem to be doing well with jobs. There are some world-class professors there, and if you look at some of the other CS departments around the country (Stanford, MIT, Carnegie Mellon etc.), you find many professors at those schools who went to Brown as undergrads. A great aspect of the Brown CS department is their undergraduate teaching assistant (UTA) program. Instead of having grad students serve as teaching assistants for classes, Brown CS hires their own undergraduates, so these students get a very early experience coaching other students, interacting with their professors, and leading study sessions. My D has already served a couple of times as a UTA in her short time at Brown. They are also great for bonding and friendships as the UTA groups range from 8-24 like-minded students from across many classes.
