Hi!

How good is the EE department in terms of quality of education and research opportunities for undergraduate studies?

In your opinion, how does it compare to the UCLA EE department?

I’m not sure about UCLA, but I love it here. CMU has a ECE program, which is an integrated Electrical and Computer Engineering program. The curriculum is pretty tough, but you learn a lot and from the best professors (sometimes the dept gives out free stuff too! :P). There are always options for research under professors here in many concentrations (some labs are listed here [Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University - Research](Research - Electrical and Computer Engineering - College of Engineering - Carnegie Mellon University) )
