just got into SEAS as a transfer and Cornell engineering.
I've already made the decision to go to Columbia, but i just want to know.
How is the biomedical engineering at Columbia?

Columbia SEAS is Excellent

The conventional wisdom seems to lean toward Cornell for engineering, though you don't shortchange yourself academically by choosing either over the other.

Biomedical Eng is the top major at SEAS, most engineering students (As far as I'm concerned) picks BME, followed by IEOR. The engineering school sometimes presents itself as a school that prepares you for much more the engineering. A statistics of (I think 2003) shows that at least 20% of SEAS grads go into financial, law and medical fields. Cornell is more known for PURE engineering, so I guess where you go depends on how you view engineering. Best of luck.
