My parents just recently got my the Peterson's SAT book. I've been searching the forums on opinions on Peterson's book and there aren't really any, so I'm just asking for an opinion. Also I've never seen someone recommend peterson's. So is it not good or what?? Are the questions close to what the real SAT questions are like??Should I get a different SAT book??

All SAT books are fine besides Kaplans. People overexaggerate on some things. As long as the book was released after collegeboards then you are fine.

Wasn't Peterson's released before the blue book

Yeah, it was.

I've heard pretty bad things about Peterson's... And Kaplan's NEW books (the Comprehensive and Premium ones) aren't bad. They were released in June 2005.

So Peterson's it pretty much, right ?? Should I chuck it and get a different book

Yeah, chuck it.

Get books that are known for being good in reviewing sections that you want to improve in. For example, if you need help in math, get Gruber's or RocketReview.

Oh jeez, I looked at Gruber's and found it hard to read. Not that it had extreme vocabulary or anything but just how it's formatted and presented.

I had the same problem with gruber, but guess what after reading all the way(math), I started taking notes the same way he present the math for my science classes, and those subject became really clear for me.

u know 1) x+2=y
2) x=3
then put 2) into 1) 3+2= 5

I dont know but maybe thats the way I think, and his book identified it for me.

Don't. Peterson's SUCKS. I've used a peterson SAT book. I don't remember if its for the new sat or not, but its utter ****. Don't buy it.
