A friend of mine bought the U.S. History Sat-II Success book from Thompson Peterson's and read through it but did not use the practice tests, so after taking the test (and doing pretty well), gave me the book.

But I have found very little information on these books online. How are they?

i used peterson's for AP euro and i don't think it helped very much...it was only good for getting the big picture...general stuff..but i don't know about sat II

as with all prep books, the quality depends not so much on the prep company but on the author. for instance, one prep book company might be awesome for one test b/c the author was good and then horrible for another test. with that in mind, arco/peterson/thompson rocks for ap calc ab/bc, chemistry, spanish lang but i don't know about the others.

Petersons for SATII USH is really just crazy-bad. I scored like a 650 on all my practice tests and ended up with a 790 final. So, in my opinion, they are totally messed up. Just my 2 cents.

SAT II USH for peterson's is about to make me cry. I heard SAT II is harder than the AP, but this is just ridiculous some of the questions they're asking.
