How Hard Are Mid-Year Transfers?

those are much harder, than fall transfers because most colleges take few students at all , if any for the spring semester. also if you want to transfer in the middle of your freshman year, you had better have stellar grades in high school because that is what they mainky judge you on, this means DONT SLACK OFF!!!!!

spring transfer (which i assume you are referring to) is usually easier at most schools. Check out the particular schools youre interested in though because many do not offer mid-year admission.

At UVA thay said they had about 300 people apply for spring admission when that had only 40-45 spaces. William and Mary has only 30-40 spaces yet recieves over 200 apps for spring admissions, but there fall admissions for transfers were 600 apps for about 200 spaces.

however it may vary from school to school. I am just speaking in reference to these two schools and other schools in VA

Well, very different answers. I am a college student, so i would be transfering as a junior. I would probably apply to four schools in illinois and i'm doing it mid-year to finish up a few credits in the fall, so that i don't have a full semester this summer.

Usually colleges dont accept transfers from students who are already juniors, because they require a student to usually earn 2 years worth of credits at their school

i believe hes saying he will apply to attend his next institution as a junior. Anyhow, if a school offers spring admission with more than limited places, chances are its easier to get in at this time (fall applicant pool is stronger). Check the schools you are interested in.
