I have a tremendous work ethic, and I’ve been called a very good writer and an extremely motivated kid. However, I will not lie. I am bad at analyzing texts, although I am eager to get better. I’m currently taking English 3 Honors. English classes are usually the classes that I’m strongest in. I never have a grade that’s lower than a B in English. The last time I had a B in English class was Freshman year in semester 1. I had an A in freshman year in semester 2. Usually though, I have 95-98%'s in English classes. Last year in sophomore year, I had a 100% in semester 1 in english and a 98% in semester 2 in english. The teacher was extremely easy though; her job was threatened because of how easy she is. I had a hard teacher for english in freshman year, and I still managed to get a B in semester 1 and an A in semester 2.
I have never taken an AP class. Next year, which will be my senior year, I will be taking AP Bio and AP Psych. I heard AP Bio is extremely hard, so I honestly have no idea if I can handle AP Bio, AP English 4 Lit/Comp, and AP Psych. I think I can handle it and receive an acceptable grade in each of the 3 classes, but I don’t know if I’d be setting up myself for success with B’s or A’s. I have no problems with sacrificing my social life, though.
I currently have a 3.1 GPA, but that’s because I messed up in my freshman year; popularity got to my head and screwed me up, distracting me from my academics. I’ve gradually improved though. I had a 3.6 GPA in Semester 1 and 2 for sophomore year, and I had a 3.8 GPA in semester 1 last year. All that totaled out to a 3.1 Unweighted cumulative GPA. I thought I’d include my GPA just in case it’s needed to judge me.
I really do need advice from people because I want to do well next year, my senior year. Also, if you’ve taken AP English 4 Lit/comp, let me know how it went and what’d you do in that class.
Thank you.
