I took Chemistry in my sophomore year and barely remember right now.
Is it high school level or somewhat college level?
and how many questions are there?

It is not hard it is mostly Stoich and mole Island (what my school called it) stuff. First 6-8 chapters of a norm chem book. I got a 21/30 without studying and not having taken chem for 2 years. There are enough questions that you could probably go back and check them 2-3 times. Keep in mind I am a ChemE major so some of the stuff might have stuck. Otherwise I was scared too but after that I was suprised I missed that many.

I'm Biochemistry major!
if you screw up the placement test, what is the worst thing that could happen?

The worst thing that could happen is that you have to start off your sequence of chemistry classes at Chem 101. It's merely a placement test. However, I think an AP chemistry test can supercedes the score you get on the chemistry placement test.

its a placement test, so if you dont do well on it--->the class it puts you in will help you. its not a bad thing.

If you do badly, you are placed in Chem 101, a course that presumes you have no chemistry background, and if you are a science or engineering major, you do not get any credit toward graduation for that course; i.e., the hours simply don't count towards completion of college. If you had Chemistry in high school, you should go back and try to review that as the test is based on the first chemistry class in high school. Note, you need only 10 or 11 correct answers out of 30 to be placed in Chem 102, the first usual Chem course for science and engineering.
