Is there a lot of deflation? How hard is a 4.0?

i wonder about this also...

It's pretty tough. I work pretty hard and only have a 3.2...

I was probably below average coming into GW. I came from a less than academically challenging high-school. Plenty of people have GPAs higher than 3.5, however.

bump ......

I have a friend who goes to fordham law now and she used to attend GW she said its moderately tough meaning like an 8 or 9 out of a 10 scale.

i have a 3.95 and i dont know why i am wasting time on here. but i am in the library right now (330 am eastern) and there are a boat load of people here.

i havent slept since sunday. finals are in two weeks. help me. please. you know, i dont think i am making sense. my eyes burn.

haha! buffi, way to be! i'm in the same boat (except it's now 4:50 am...) 5th floor gelman is where it's at.

in terms of difficulty: life gets really stressful around midterms/finals, but i think anyone at any school will tell you that.

in terms of inflation: definitely. especially in terms of writing--in high school i usually got B+'s on english work, and i haven't gotten anything lower than an A- on a paper here...even realllllly mediocre ones. i think it depends on the discipline.

it really does depend on the discipline.
I am a transfer student and I wouldn't say the course material is that hard.. it just that EVERYONE wants an A so there is a lot of competition.

Most of the people that are here did very well in high school..
