not really any leadership, etc.

out of state

prospective math major (possibly mathmatics-scientific computation), but could possibly go for computer science or engineering... would applying for engineering significantly hurt my chances?

my UC GPA might not be right, i'm learning now....
i'm not sure what classes they count. i counted everything.
does gym, etc, not count? what about electives like cooking, communications, digital imaging?
but then would photography count since it's my art credit?

anyway.
that could help, since i have an A- in a gym class, etc. and even the A's pull it down, since they're 4.0's.

and i don't get credit for the honors since i'm out of state. so that's just with the AP's weighted.

and don't rethink your major on paper because one "sounds harder" than another. that's why they ask you to specify two majors when applying. i wasn't a stellar high school students, but did BE:PM on a whim and got in -- in retrospect, it was a wise decision, as it's easier to switch into "easier" majors than to plead your way back into those departments.

i got in out of state and my gpa's lower, but my sat scores were higher. maybe you might want to consider retaking some of them? i don't really know how i got in, to be quite honest, but i know the best part of my application was probably my sat scores :D

My daughter is out of state with similar stats, and she got in. Make sure you have strong community service with at least 100 hours and with an essay that describes it. That should get you more points, and UCSD sticks close to the point system.
