I understand it’s extremely difficult, I am just wondering. I know I “shouldn’t aim for a 4.0 but aim for learning,” but I am just trying to get a gauge of the intensity at which I will be studying for the next four years. A high GPA will help for scholarship purposes and is a must for med school.
I will be majoring in Biology (MCB). How many hours will I have to put in in order to get a 4.0 HYPOTHETICALLY?
It’s extremely difficult, so much so that they give you a plaque in the University Library if you manage to get into the top 3% of students (usually around a 3.95). I have a friend who got it last year and they basically were studying 5 days straight a week and only ever doing anything fun on Saturdays. They were in Stats if it makes a difference, though I think those two majors are about the same in difficulty but that’s just a guess.
That being said, you can study much less and still get a very very good GPA.
