Hey all - I'm new to the board and I was wondering just how hard is it to get in to USC?? I was just rejected by Stanford <ego's a="" little="" bruised=""> and USC is my first choice. Actually, I was switching over before I even got the rejection letter. But yeah-- how selective is this school?</ego's>

PS - does the USC board have any "OR" threads?... those are fun

USC is a difficult school to get into, and if you got rejected from Stanford, you very well may get rejected here too. Last year's enterting classes average was a 3.9 gpa, 1400 SAT, high SAT 2's and AP's, lots of leadership/founding positions in EC's, and lots of community service.

I don't what "OR" boards are. Feel free to indulge us though.

Well, I have a 3.95 gpa, 1430 SATI; 720, 690, 680 SATIIs; AP Physics, AP US hist, AP Euro, AP Bio, AP Calc, both AP english courses
My ECs:
Kiteboarding
Boxing
Judiciary Committee (2 years)
Fundraising Committee Chair (student council, this year)
Tutoring first graders
American Heart Association volunteer
And I attended Stanford's summer college -- probably why the rejection was so crushing.

I had an interview with the admissions director that visited my school a few weeks ago-- seemed to have went pretty well. (but who really knows)

But still, USC is a really selective school and I'm just not sure about anything right now...

you are a match to USC

kiran88us: thank you! you made my day :)
