How hard is it to get into UC Davis or UC out of state?

gpa-3.8
sat-500,600
3 ap
live in newark,nj
rank- 30%
softball for 3 years
community serivces 130
much more leadership.
applying for general studies
next year for ED

i just found out i got into another ap yaaaaaaa!!!

but have 0 awards that will kill me

with those stats and considering you're out of state, i would only expect to get into the lower tier UCs.

for example, I'm in state. 4.17 GPA weighted, 3.97 unweighted. 1990 SAT (730 crit reading 590 math). rank-5%. 3 APs. lots of community service.
and I got rejected from Davis.

but go ahead and put an app in~admissions can be quite random.

Tough luck playdohlove, doesn't seem fair.

To the Op- The lower UC's are probably a good bet. Don't worry about awards. Maybe work on getting the SAT numbers up. If you could get a 1900ish, you might have a shot at the mid tier UCs. You are out of state, so you are applying with a disadvantage.
