How hard is it to switching to engineering?

I got accepted for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB), but I’d now like to switch to Biomedical engineering. Can I just email someone and ask to switch? Or do I have to take a semester of classes first?

Email the admissions office saying you want to switch to engineering. I switched from CAS to SAR and it was an easy process. All I had to do was email admissions

E-mail or call them up. I get that BME has the “ranking” at BU, but that ranking mostly reflects on faculty research and the graduate program. I think that you know what you want, but just want to warn you. I knew a lot of freshmen BMEs who dropped or switched, or realized their misconceptions of BME.

Many colleges have different admissions criteria for ENG vs CAS.
Unless you have very high math scores, ENG would be tough to gain admission,
and they probably already have a wait list of kids who want ENG.
Do post their response here, either way !
