<p>The only thing is if you are intending to transfer to the engineering school, do it at the very beginning. The Engineering First series starts the first quarter of freshmen year. Unlike other schools, NU's first year curriculum for engineering students is much more than just 1st-yr chemistry/physics. When I was there, the school didn't have this curriculum and it was very easy to transfer from WCAS. Most transfers from WCAS are science types and they would have already been taking physics/chemistry anyway. But I am not sure how the engineering school deals with late transfers these days.</p>
