Just got done studying about 12-15 hours in a two day time period for it, which I could of spread it out more but I have 5 final exams this week. Seriously information overload! I’ve been able to maintain a 96.5 up until now with the final being 20% my grade. In your experiences were they harder, more in depth questions or were they just questions to make sure you understood the material? With all these concepts I’m a bit worried I might not remember all of the 20+ formulas on top of in-depth questions
This is a school and professor specific question. No one here can answer this.
The final I’m taking wasn’t made by the professor, it is a departmental multiple choice exam which everyone in the state of FL takes unless the professor says otherwise. With a subject like accounting it’s going to basically the same everywhere. I realize some professors might re word questions, but financial accounting is financial accounting…I was looking for more of a discussion anyway which is why I said “in your experience”.
I agree with @guineagirl96 – the final will no be the same everywhere, exams can be curved on different scales (or not at all) etc. Nobody here can answer your question with any degree of certainty. Perhaps try posting on the page for your particular college.
I suppose you both are right lol
@Mevans6 How did it go? My intro fin acct final was also a departmental MC exam, and it was pretty straightforward - no overly complex transactions, although I did forget the formulas for bank vs book reconciliations.
I maintained a high A the whole course and I got a 73, with the highest grade being a 76. No curve. Questions were made to trick us. Like all hypothetical questions that we had no practice on the whole year lol. Still came out with an A though…that’s why I always try to do my best throughout the whole year because you never know what the professor will throw at you. The above posters were completely right. I thought it would of been straight forward but whoever made our departmental exam obviously didn’t care how it was nothing like any of our tests, homework, or quizzes. @CharlotteLetter
@Mevans6 Good job though, it sounds tough… my exam wasn’t super similar to the homework, it was easier to an extent though. Mine did require random memorization of irrelevant definitions, so that part was difficult.
