how hard is transfering from a cc to rpi?

im in my first year of college at a community college because i couldnt afford to go to pitt or uscla (the two schools who accepted me) i want to transfer after my first year here, but i am curious about how selective admissions are regarding transfers

classes i will have taken by the end of this year:

astronomy
astronomy lab
physics 1
chemistry 1
2 prep math classes and precalc (im behind because i didnt take math in highschool)
english
applied physics 1
computer science

my gpa is between 3.7-3.8

i should mention i failed at highschool my gpa there was only 2.8 and i had 1000 SATs, which i only took once and gave up after the first couple questions

regardless of my poor performance in highschool and on the SAT i have managed to pull A's in every single college class I've taken.

im a physics/astro major and I want to transfer next year, what chances do I have coming from a community college?

Warning: It won't be easy. Try to get some really good recommendations under your belt, or your chances are probably slim.

You actually sound kind of like a friend I have here (who has become extremely motivated, and is presumably doing very well). He managed to get in with similar stats (if I correctly recall what he mentioned a while ago), so it should definitely be possible.
