I got into UCLA on neuroscience and i was just wondering how hard the major is. some told me horror stories about how 2.5 is considered a good gpa to have and i wanted some perspective. I'm thinking about applying to med school too.

setting neuroscience aside, ive heard that premed is hard. because neuroscience's prerequisites overlap with the premed prerequisites, then you can assume that neuroscience is hard. then again, if you're super interested in neuroscience then go for it.

I've heard that Neuroscience is very competitive here, due to the significantly above-average concentration of pre-med students majoring in it. Watch out for MIMG, MCDB, EEB and PhySci majors as well.

A 2.5 gpa is never considered good, and don't even think about the slightest possibility of medical school with a 2.5... your friend was probably just exaggerating (I don't know the number myself).
