Well you’re certainly Mr. Cheerio. That’s a false statement, at any rate.

Do you know of any college with an average sat of 1440? I’m just being realistic. OP is wasting her time studying for the SAT when the TOEFL is the right test for her.

Enjoying the ■■■■■? No ESL student uses spelling and grammar like this.

maybe because im not esl sudent!?
read my comments befor!!!
but i can take it as a compliment:)
the last thing that ill do a day before my sat is ■■■■■■■■!!!
1400 is not bad, and ill take toefl next year as senior…
but the college office in my school told me that its not replacing it,so i still need to take it:p

Danielia, I hate to say it, but a 1400 is not going to get you into any school except (maybe) a community college or something like that. I mean, if that’s your goal, that’s fine, but still… if you want to get a 1400, you should aim for at least a 1500 or 1600 on practices. Most people do somewhat worse to a lot worse on the actual test than they do on practices because of nerves and testing conditions.

You said that you’re very good at Math and not so good at Reading:

Let’s assume that you can get 700-800 in Math; then you will only need 300-350 on both Reading and Writing to achieve 1400 which, in all honesty, is not difficult.

ok thank u for your support and help

Ummm… I would normally say “yes” but for you I’m really uncertain…

If you studied hard enough then you can definitely get the score (or something close to the score) you want. Don’t get a tutor. Tutors can still be helpful to students but I think that self studying is key. Here are two CC threads that might help:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/750399-how-attack-sat-critical-reading-section-effectively.html

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/68210-xiggis-sat-prep-advice.html

Also I would aim for a higher score if I were you. At least a 1600 or higher. 1700+ would be very good, 1800-1900+ would be really great, 2000-2100+ would be extremely excellent, and 2200+ to 2400 would SPECTACULAR :)

George Mason accepts 1400s? Easy to get in, and it’s a great school that’s constantly improving over the years.

Be confident, you’ll be fine! If you’re able to cross out at least one - two answer(s) for sure, then guess.

I highly recommend you read The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. Excellent book that teaches you correct grammar. Very straightforward. And if you don’t want to take my word for it, take Barron’s word for it.

Have you considered taking the TOEFL? (I think that’s what it’s called…)

Go to the store and get the blue book of sats, or look on collegeboard.com, they have free practices I think. You should guess if you can eliminate one answer choice. 1400 isn’t that hard to get, especially if you’re a strong math student. Just start practicing… Best of luck!

thank u very much!
i took the sat allready and it wasnt that hard i hope for 1400-1600
thanks for everybody for trying helping me!!!
ill check about “George Mason” is it in ny??

Post your scores when you get them please!!!

I would try the TOEFL instead

^
I second that
