How hard will it be for me to.....

I'm wondering how hard it will be for me to get into UCSD, Cal Poly SLO, and UC Irvine for mechanical engineering?

Here are some stats...

Critical Reading: 500
Math: 640
Writing: 620
Essay: 7
Overall Score: 1760

Accumulated Weighted GPA: 4.1
Accumulated Un-weighted GPA: 3.8

Ranked 15 in my school (top 10%)

Several AP Courses:
AP World Hist (2)
APUSH (won't know score until Saturday)
AP Lang (won't know score until Saturday)
AP Art Hist (won't know score until Saturday)
AP Calc AB (won't know score until Saturday)

Potential AP courses (senior year):
AP Psych
AP Calc BC
AP Lit
AP Chem

Cross country: 4 yrs (JV + V)
Track: 3 yrs (JV + V)

Are there any other engineering schools that are in my reach? PLEASE tell me if you do :)

shameless plug lol: http://youtu.be/O7dcUDQQMQ4

My sense is that the UCs and Cal Poly SLO are high reaches for you. Look at CSUs (other than Cal Poly SLO). Some offer Mechanical Engineering.

I have a friend with similar (a bit lower, actually) test scores who got into UC Irvine for mechanical engineering & Cal Poly for civil engineering. It’s not that cut & dry, specially for the UC’s where a good personal statement can make a difference.

You want to go into a STEM program with a Math: 640?

If you are in state, just try to bring your math up to about 700. You should be fine.
