How hard would 3 AP classes during freshman year be?

Next year, I plan on taking AP comp sci A and AP chem, but I am still debating on whether to take AP hug; does anyone know what the workload for those three classes is? Would I still have time to do a bunch of ex-curricular activities?

Probably not, but it would depend on many factors: your intellect, your study habits, Middle school prep, AP teachers and their teaching and grading style and policies, etc.

Generally, it’s best for freshman to limit APs to one or two to test the waters for both AP classes and high school life in general. For some, it can be a big adjustment. AP HUG is usually recommended as a freshman AP starter class rather than the other two tho.

You’ll have three more years to load up on APs (or not) depending on how your freshman year goes.

It will depend on your abilities and the demands of your particular teachers and school. Nobody on this blog knows you or can/should opine. Work with your guidance counselor to create a schedule that will be challenging but manageable.
