Just wondering. Can people have taken both essays post their scores for each?

ACT- 9
SAT- 9

However, the ACT was taken in June of my sophomore year, while the SAT was taken in January of my Junior year.

Act-8
Sat-10

ACT - 10
SAT - 11 (And I thought it was pretty bad, even when I reread it online)

SAT 8
ACT 12

Wha? I thought the ACT was terrible and the SAT pretty good. I guess they were looking for different things maybe?

The expectation for ACT is actually higher because you get a little bit more time. There is a sample on ACT's official website. A top score is like 5 pages long!

I got a 12 on the ACT, and it was only 2 pages.

SAT - 12
ACT - 12

I took different approaches to both... SAT essay was 2 pages long, 4 paragraphs, and the ACT essay was 3 pages long and 4 paragraphs. In the SAT essay, I used specific examples (Great Gatsby, personal story). In the ACT essay, I simply argued a point (multiple examples per paragraph, not one body centered around one example). My approaches were so different that I can't really compare them, but I felt better about my ACT essay than my SAT one (I was expecting a 9-10 there).

SAT - 12 (twice)
ACT - 9, 11

The ACT has a thing against using the strict formulae insofar as they hinder fluid communication.

SAT- 10 (i knew this was a ten, just slapped some advanced vocabulary and semi-colons into 2 weak examples that i didn't care about. I filled up all 3 pages that they give you)
ACT-11 (I thought this one was terrible, had to cross out the second sentence in my conclusion because i was half done with it when time was called)

Act 8
Sat 11
