I know some have complained about communicating with the admissions office. I have sent three e-mails about a schedule change and have received no reply.

I called, and the people I spoke to were relatively nice. I had to leave a voicemail, but thankfully the call was returned within about 5 hours. (I was expecting longer.)

I’ve had to call multiple times, and have my guidance counselor call multiple times, about several issues. Each time they were nice about it, but it was slightly frustrating that the issues, which were due to the new computer system, could not be resolved on the first call.

Well, I emailed them twice and they responded fairly quickly, and when I called about a transcript issue it was resolved the next day.

Quite mixed. I went to my guidance counselor and we called twice over the course of 2 weeks to ask about whether they received certain materials, which took a bit longer than expected to get processed, even with UNC’s large number of applicants. But anyway, the first time we called, the person laughed at us for asking if something we sent two weeks ago was close to being processed yet, since the myUNC profile hadn’t updated yet. The second time, she went in and processed it for us. Very nice!

Wow. I’m just glad that the problems were all figured out and that nothing too bad happened… Although frustration is a big thing.

I didn’t have to call once… Maybe it’s just laziness on my part,
but I just checked my portal every other day and made sure that my stuff
was showing up.

Everyone got my stuff in on time, so it was good :)
