How high must my score be in the SAT II language (for example, Spanish) to opt-out of the language requirement.

Also, if I have to take courses for this requirement, how many classes do you think I have to take. I understand it is 14 credits, but I am right now still confused about the whole credit system. Also, is it possible to take two beginner languages for my language requirement? For example, I take french and spanish to fulfill this requirement.

If you have any other information about the language requirement, please feel free to share :)

I do not believe you can take two introductory classes to satisfy this requirement; you need to demonstrate competency in one language. My D is in the e-school, which has no foreign language requirement, but she continued with classes because she enjoyed them.

If you haven’t become familiar with “Lou’s List”, it will be very helpful to you in selecting and scheduling your courses. You can check there to determine how many credits each course is and of course your advisor will be able to help you as well.

You don’t need to take 14 credits. You need to have one “202” or “2020” level on your transcript, either through exemption/testing out or by taking the class. I actually needed 16 credits for my foreign language (Hebrew), since each class was 4 credits. 202(0) is the 4th class in every sequence. The most classes you have to take is 4.
