How Holistic?

Hello,

Like many people on this site it is my dream to go to MIT. I am currently a junior planning to apply next year. Since freshmen year I've been intrigued with business and econ and hope to double major in Econ and Management Science. Since freshman year I've been trying to base everything I do around these fields to show my passion for it instead of doing random clubs/activities for the heck of it. I was wondering if MIT, a STEM based school, would take into account the way I've shown my passion in the fields I am interested in? As long as I get the necessary numbers?

At MIT, you are required to take: a year of physics, a semester of chem, a semester of biology, a semester of a lab class, and two semesters of science elective. So you do need to show, in some way, that you like these courses well enough to get through them. Aside from that, let your interests be as broad or as narrow as you like.

Thanks
