I am Senior about to graduate next month’s SAT test December few days from now on is my last trial chance i have in my old SAT system before the changes . My target in Writing section is full 800 but my major problem is the error identification questions all my mistakes are in this type . Can you help give good way to tackle this type of question . Help is appreciated 
My approach [many many years ago] was just to quickly rewrite the sentence [if necessary – every now and then it’s a trick, because the original is fine] in my head and then look for the option that came closest. That only works if you think your own writing is good. Looking through the options is slow and confusing in my opinion. I’ll ask D [who tutored SAT during and after college] if she has any tips.
I won’t say this is completely fool-proof, but the right answers tend to be on the shorter side. Quick clues for spotting incorrect sentences include unnecessary gerunds, the word “being”, and other long, awkwardly phrased sentences. It comes easier with practice, trust me! The writing section was definitely not my forte, but that all changed with practice Good luck!
