How I raised my SAT score by 790 points-My story

the CR tips helped soooooo much
THANK YOU ALOT

I scored 1700 on my first SAT. I did 14 practise tests. I do not understand how to improve my score and i really want to get into northwestern. help

hi, doing too many tests not help, too repetitious and you not learn. only part reptitious help is vocab, for others you need tutor to help you learn. also for math you need discipline and mature, to not make stupid mistake.

@spuding102‌, i am planning on taking the SAT in june before it changes and my scores are fairly low to mediocre. i have been studying from barrons math and kaplans book but i feel like im not doing enough and i really need/ want to get a high score. i really dont know what im doing and you seem to know what u were doing dince u got into Duke (congrats). i was wondering if you could help me out and kinda tell me what your schedule was and what u did.and if you actually studied or if u just took practice tests. i know u explained alot already but i rwally need a legit schedule to beable to get a good score. THANK YOUU

CONGRATS. You are going to do great. I was wondering if the practice tests on the online SAT course by collegeboard different that the ones on the blue book?

If you don’t mind can you just mention all the books that you used to improve your score. I got the exact score as you on my PSAT, and I just can’t bare to see all my friends get better scores than me

@fallenchemist‌ I am pretty sure that they are just getting rid of the writing section?

@iambrutus‌

I haven’t followed this all that closely, but as I understand it they are also revamping the other sections pretty extensively. Others know more than I do, I am sure.

I have a question. He said how much and how often he practiced for the SAT, but he never mentioned when he made time to read through direct hits. Would he read through some of it and just not do an SAT section that night, or would he do both??

Thank you! And great job!

Congrats! This is really helpful.

This advice is really great! I’m a freshman in high school and will take my SAT this year in December.
I’ll have about 10 months to study, and I’ll keep in mind all of what you’ve done to get such a great score.
You’re practically my role model right now.

hello,I just hope you get this before May,I wrote the test in December and scored 1870-first try.I am writing in May 2015 but I have already finished the blue book and the online course .Should I redo them because am getting nervous,my corrects are becoming wrongs now so anytime I see or think of SAT,my heart skips a beat.am an international student so I need above 2250 to get good scholarships ,am afraid to try something new because i feel my time is up.

i love you man

My score won’t go up!! So far I took 4 practice tests. I can’t even break 600 in math or cr. I feel like an idiot

Which school are you in now?

by 790 points what.

@spuding102 I know you bought the Exam Kracker book for the LSAT. But is it okay if I have a different book? The book I have is by Manhattan Prep Company and it is all about the Reading Comprehension section of the LSAT. What do you think?

@YoohooAddict if its anything like LSAT CR I’m sure it will be helpful
