How I went from a 460 to a 720 in math!

Wow! i'm still in shock lol. Okay so the first practice test I took was a CB test last year and I scored a 460 in math. I was so discouraged that I didn't study for the SAT at all for about 6 months. I took the June SAT without any prep and scored a 550 in the math. After this, I spent two months reading and doing every practice problem in the Kaplan new SAT math workout book and scored a 660 and 700 on the two practice tests at the end of the book. I thought they were shi*ting me so I took a CB test and I scored a 720 on math!! THE BOOK IS A MIRACLE!!!

Yeah I started with a 430 in CR and now I'm up to 590....I hope I can get to where you are :)

wow, u accomplished in 1 year what it took 5 years for me to accomplish

Congrats! Thanks for sharing!

My CR is still a INSANELY low 350. This score was from a practice test from PR like 2 weeks ago. And I'm taking the REAL SAT in about 6 months or so. Any suggestions or tips?

Learn how to read is a pretty strong one. killer, you should probably read more, any book, just anything. Getting a 350 ... well, that's like not even getting the main point. Sorry.

The best way to improve is to read ALOT. Other than that you can keep practicing Cr questions find out mistakes, get to know why you made them and then practice those questions(same type) and make sure you don't make that mistake. Its the best way to learn.

well words of encouragement. I started with a 300 on CR then somehow my score rose to 530 the next day. Then slowly to the 600s and now 770 officially on the june 2005 test. I lived in korea and we didn't have much exposure to like middle school or high school english so it took me some time but it worked out. Just try hard and u'll soon get it.

Well that 300 must have just been a fluke if it went up so fast.
