How important are SAT IIs?

<p>I did awesome on the SAT and ACT, but I have a sinking sensation that my SAT IIs might not have gone as well as I hoped... the sad thing is I think I did good (~800) on history, but awful on the others... which, of course, being math and science, are more important for Caltech admission...</p>

<p>I really don't want to take those torture-fests again.. how much can SAT IIs help/hurt you in terms of admission? What's, like, the minimum score you can submit and not look like a fool?</p>

<p>There’s no point worrying about the scores until you actually know what they are. </p>

<p>That said, I’d retake for anything below 700 on math/science SAT IIs. However, if you have good AP scores in the same subject, your SAT IIs won’t be as important.</p>
