Hey everyone, I was just looking through last years results thread and I must say it was little intimidating... I'd say 90% of those accepted had near perfect scores. So i was wondering how big of a factor your scores are, when I visited Penn I didn't get the impression you needed perfect scores but this thread is proving different.

Also, while I'm at it I might as well ask.. How would you say a 800M 660Cr 760W would stack up (or really just how bad will my 660Cr hurt me?). Thanks!

By near perfect, do you mean 2000+ =_= I wish they were more important.
Your SATs are pretty much fine - if that CR was 700 your SATs would be golden.

Your 660 on CR will be detrimental, since it’s well below average among acceptees. Nonetheless, your Math and Writing scores are very strong. Your score certainly does not remove you from consideration, and a highly compelling application otherwise could make acceptance quite realistic.

even for Wharton? Also, is the SAT used more as a checkpoint? Once your scores are above a certain amount, does doing better not help your chances that much?

thanks a lot silverturtle and euroazn that’s more or less comforting lol I’m retaking one last time next weekend so hopefully I can just break the 700 mark and I’ll be happy!
