How important are summer activities?

hello, I got accepted to a high school research program at a top university this summer and was wondering how important a or how much value is given to internships/camps that you do over the summer? and how much would they factor in to the whole college admission process?
I would assume that the ones that you pay for and the ones that you get accepted and/or are paid are seen differently. like RSI vs a pre-college camp at an ivy

Which program is this ? It can help if everything else in your profile is good. Yes. RSI is in its own league but it is very difficult to get in. SSP, RMP etc are helpful but not as much as RSI. This is based on our experience. Pre collegiate programs like Stanford offers is pretty much useless for college admissions unless you can weave that into a believable story for your college essay topic

Colleges like to see you do something productive over the summer…be it working, babysitting, taking a course or going to a research program or a paid camp.

If you look at the Common Data Set for a given college, GPA, SAT/ACT are always “Most Important” factors in admission. ECs are usually “Important”.
