<p>I didn’t apply to Ivy’s but I found them to be really important for all the local scholarships I applied for.</p>
<p>Well for one, you won’t get into an IVY with your UW gpa (Mine is close to yours so im not being mean)
Although Maybe schools like Johns Hopkins, NC Chapel Hill etc etc that are arguably State Ivys but community service is very important , but too a certain point. Grades test scores and ECs come before cs but u must have it all to get into universities</p>
<p>You can get into an Ivy with your unweighted GPA. Ivies also consider SAT/ACT, SAT IIs, and extra curricular activities. Volunteering is practically a standard on an application applying to an Ivy. In the end you just have to work hard.</p>
<p>They are indeed an important part of the application. You can get into an Ivy with your gpa but it will be that much harder without volunteering.</p>
